![]() Staff was very responsive to our requests.would recommend this resort. It was relaxing, loved the fireplace in our room. The lazy river was small for my taste but we still enjoyed it. They loved the one major ride, but otherwise did not go on any slides. They would have hung out in the wave pool for days. We didn't do the arcade or magic quest, but they didn't really care. On the plus side, we came with three 12/13 year old girls and they had a blast. Biggest issue was that the toilet in the bathroom was not clean on the bottom, and wasn't cleaned the second day either.but we did not bring it to staff attention, so it wasn't an ignored issue.just not exceptionally clean. ![]() I noticed some left over decorations taped near the window, but not a big deal. They called to check on us immediately and we just let the oven burn off the residual food. We had an issue with pre heating the oven, there had been spilled food in there, enough to create quite a bit of smoke, which set off the fire alarms at the desk. It having an ice bucket or enough toilet paper were resolved with a quick phone call to the front desk and it was brought within minutes. Not a major issue, but definitely felt like a lower class resort right away, which it is not. We got to the room and it was nice, but one of the first things we noticed was that the wood table in front of the couch had pen drawings all over it. One of the more popular lake outposts, you’ll be able to find shops, cafes, and restaurants here, as well as an amazing ice cream stand right near the south entrance of the ferry.We got to the hotel late, and the staff was very friendly, explained everything and provided written information as well. The waters are rich with walleye and white bass and it is possible to fish throughout the year. Lake Wisconsin offers ample opportunities for amateur and experienced anglers to try their luck. If you want to cross the lake without having to drive all the way around, the town of Merrimac offers a vehicle ferry crossing.
